Internship experiments and calculations in the area of ​​rolling fatigue and tribology

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated person for this experimental position that will focus on the study of rolling fatigue. Rolling fatigue is the main cause of damage to rolling bearings, gears and rail systems. Rolling refers to the combination of rolling and sliding.

During your internship you will support us in our laboratory. You check rolling fatigue using an MPR machine.

Your work includes evaluating and examining the samples after the experiments.

Last but not least, you derive Wöhler curves for calculating the service life.

Requirements

• Education: Studies in the field of mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, electromobility or comparable
• Experience and know-how: in laboratory work and experimental work
• Personality and way of working: you are a motivated person and work in a disciplined manner in the laboratory
• Day-to-day work: Working in the office is required
• Enthusiasm: for research and advance development
• Languages: fluent English and very good German
