Do you have strong experience in web application protection and have mastered the operation of world-class WAF solutions? We are looking for a Full-Focused Analyst in Defense Engineering to work dedicatedly in the support, administration and technical operation of our client's WAF Akamai environment. You will be the technical bridge for protecting new applications, configuring policies, resolving undue blocking and monitoring changes in critical staging and production environments.

🏚️💻 Vacancy with Remote modality

Operation and Configuration: Configure and support the protection of new applications in the Akamai WAF (policies, rules, exceptions, domains and environments).

Support and Adjustments: Make changes, policy adjustments, parameterizations and continuous refinements to already protected applications.

Troubleshooting and War Rooms: Work in war rooms to analyze improper blocking (false positives), technical support for incidents and monitoring of sensitive changes in production.

Demand Fulfillment: Technically understand requests via ServiceNow/Slack, evaluate impacts and execute the necessary configurations on the consoles.

Hygiene and Governance: Actively review policies, obsolete objects and manage logical accesses (users and APIs) in Akamai Control Center.

Multivendor Support: Interact technically and operationally with partner companies and provide timely complementary support in the AWS WAF environment.

Requirements

You must complete the higher education described below

• Completed higher education in IT or compatible specialization in Information Security;
• Solid experience (Full level) in administration, technical operation and support of WAF (Web Application Firewall), preferably Akamai;
• Strong knowledge of web application security, HTTP/HTTPS traffic analysis and network protocols;
• Practical experience in troubleshooting applications, identifying false positives and adjusting blocking policies;

Experience working in change management routines (ITIL) and participating in war rooms.

Desirable

• Knowledge and experience with AWS WAF;
• Technical certifications related to Akamai or cloud application security (AppSec);
• Understanding common Web vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top 10) and mitigation methodologies via WAF;

Experience with answering calls using tools such as ServiceNow.
