Freelance HR Manager

We are looking for a freelance HR Manager for one of our clients.

The organization is growing rapidly: from approximately 100 employees now to approximately 200 employees later this year. They are located in the center of the Netherlands.

To properly manage this growth, HR must be structured more robustly.

The assignment

We are looking for a pragmatic HR Manager for 12 to 16 hours per week who helps to:

1. to provide structure;

• create an overview;
• establish one uniform HR working method;
• make HR processes workable for all BVs;
• Nmbrs and Daywize can be properly integrated into the daily operation.

The goal is not to build a heavy corporate HR model. The goal is a practical HR foundation that works, is scalable and helps the organization grow.

HR is currently centrally managed for the entire group.

The current situation

1. The group consists of several BVs.

• There are now approximately 100 employees.
• This is expected to grow towards 200 employees.
• HR is supported with Nmbrs and Daywize.
• The basis is present, but not yet sufficiently structured.
• Processes are not yet uniform everywhere.
• There is a need for more overview, recording and clear working methods.

The current HR manager needs help in creating structure. She can take on the daily HR work, but she cannot manage setting up a fully functioning HR foundation alone.

That is why there is a need for someone who will stand next to her, set priorities and make things work.

HR must grow with you.

Without a clear structure, there is a risk of

1. fragmented processes;

• ad hoc solutions;
• too much dependence on loose knowledge;
• differences between BVs;
• insufficient overview for management and employees.

You help bring peace.

You map the current HR situation and translate it into a practical working method that works for the entire group.

In concrete terms this means

1. one uniform HR working method for all BVs;
2. clear processes for inflow, outflow and personnel changes;
3. better structure around contracts, leave, absenteeism and files;
4. clear formats, checklists and work instructions;
5. Nmbrs and Daywize logically organized and well used;
6. more overview of HR administration and personnel information;
7. better HR management information for management;
8. an HR manager who can independently continue with the established structure.

The end goal is an HR organization that provides peace, overview and professionalism, and that supports the customer in the next growth phase.

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager who is practical, structured and decisive.

You are a good fit if you

5. have experience with growing organizations;
6. can switch between management and operations;
7. can practically take someone with you and relieve them of their worries;
8. be sturdy without making it unnecessarily complicated.

At 10x, there are two types of opportunities

1. Traditional freelance missions

These are regular project-based opportunities where the listed mission is the actual project you may work on.

2.AI Lab roles

For AI Lab roles, we scout, review, and approve profiles for access to future project opportunities.

The missions listed for AI Lab roles are not traditional job openings. AI Lab work is often highly confidential as this exposes information of what an AI Lab is working on, and project requests are unpredictable.

When an AI Lab request comes in, we often need to respond within 24 hours with suitable talent.

Matching depends on the specific needs of each AI Lab project and your niche expertise. Once your profile is reviewed and approved, you may be matched to relevant AI Lab projects when suitable opportunities arise.

This can happen within hours, but it may also take months, depending on the researchers at the AI labs and their project needs.

Responsibilities

You will help with

• determine priorities;
• simplify processes;
• clarify roles and responsibilities;
• Better use of Nmbrs and Daywize;
• provide practical support to the current HR manager;
• Making HR scalable for further growth.

We are not looking for a theoretical advisory report, but someone who builds, arranges and implements.

Requirements

You have experience with

• HR processes;
• personnel administration;
• HR systems;
• contract management;
• absenteeism;
• inflow and outflow;
• personnel files;
• reports and HR management information.
• Experience with Nmbrs and/or Daywize is a strong advantage.
• We are not looking for a corporate policy maker, but a pragmatic builder. Someone who sees what is needed, takes ownership and ensures that HR works for the entire group. Someone who can roll up his/her sleeves and ensure that everything is arranged.
