Role Summary

During your internship, you will revise important operational information for our operational security response, including the company fire department and the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

As part of operational fire protection, you support the areas of architecture and space management.

You will play a key role in the implementation of fire protection topics in Building Information Modeling (BIM).

You take part in meetings for construction projects and take on your own sub-tasks in different projects.

In addition, you adapt fire brigade plans as well as escape and rescue plans in CAD and BIM and monitor them.

In the production environment, you update the calculation of the fire loads.

You support the use of digital tools in the area of emergency response and for the company fire department.

Last but not least, you will gain valuable insights into Business Continuity Management (BCM) and get to know its processes.

Requirements

  • Education: Studies in the field of architecture, mechanical engineering, fire protection, emergency response, rescue services or comparable
  • Experience and know-how: in structural fire protection; confident use of MS Office (especially Excel); Experience in the fire department or rescue service
  • Personality and way of working: you are able to work on tasks independently and in a structured manner, take responsibility and contribute actively and constructively to the team as a reliable member
  • Everyday work: your presence on site is required
  • Enthusiasm: Interest in fire protection and operational hazard prevention
  • Languages: business fluent German and good English
