Role Summary

Intervene during the hospitalization of patients in psychiatric care.

Provide consultations and psychiatric care within our multidisciplinary team.

Support the head of hospital department and play a proactive role in the evolution of the psychiatry department by contributing to projects, to our integrated care system aimed at constantly improving standards of care and guaranteeing comprehensive care for the mental health of our patients

Actively participate in the development of care projects and the continuous improvement of practices within the establishment.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement adapted care plans

Establish and nurture solid professional links with general practitioners, thus promoting transparent collaboration and ensuring attentive monitoring of patients

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities in addition to the points above

  • You ensure the replacement of the holder according to the needs of the service.
  • You participate in weekend pickets: 1 weekend every 6 to 10 weeks (on-site visits + telephone presence).
  • You play a driving role in the supervision and training of assistant doctors.
  • The position is open to part-time between 80% and 100%, depending on your availability.
  • Flexibility, versatility, proactivity and resilience will be the keys to evolving and contributing in this stimulating context.

Requirements

  • You hold a diploma as a psychiatrist with a specialization in adult psychiatry, recognized by the Swiss authorities (MEBEKO). You also hold the title of FMH specialist (or equivalent) in psychiatry. You master French at a minimum C1 level.
  • You have proven experience in clinical psychiatry, ideally in a hospital environment. Experience in supporting patients in acute psychiatric care would be a valuable asset. Significant experience in a university environment would also be desired.
  • You have strong listening, analysis and decision-making skills, and you are able to manage stressful and complex situations effectively. You are autonomous in your practice while respecting the protocols and values of the establishment.
  • You enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team and are able to communicate effectively with your colleagues. Your team spirit is an asset to contribute to the collective development of our psychiatry department.
  • You demonstrate a sense of ethics, respect for confidentiality, as well as kindness and empathy towards patients. You are capable of creating a respectful and caring environment, essential in the context of your professional practice.
