As our new Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Secondary Technology, you will work closely with our project team and design innovative solutions for demanding energy and infrastructure projects. Together we develop tailor-made concepts for our customers and accompany projects from planning to successful implementation.

You will become part of our Power Systems DE department - a dynamic, innovative and internationally positioned environment with short decision-making processes, modern technologies and helpful colleagues who place great value on collaboration and knowledge exchange.

In your role, you will take on a central function in the planning, coordination and implementation of projects in the area of secondary technology. You will sometimes work with international customers and interdisciplinary teams and make a significant contribution to implementing technically and economically optimal solutions.

Your main tasks will be the following

Collaboration and support in the secondary technical planning and implementation of substations and switching stations

You support the preparation of technical offers and business development, answer tenders and take on sub-projects, including close communication with the customer

Planning and concept creation for protection, control and control technology (including base/detail design, configurations, protection devices, control/wide area technology, in-house systems, feasibility studies, FEED and implementation planning) for AIS and GIS switchgear in indoor and outdoor areas (110-400 kV).

Creation and coordination of equipment overviews as well as electrical design plans (protection technology, measuring transformers, auxiliary and internal use systems) for the switchgear.

Creation of circuit diagrams, circuit books and implementation planning of secondary technology (SLD, locking/tripping schemes, SCADA, connection diagram) with EngineeringBase, Eplan and Civil3D.

Calculations and dimensioning of current and voltage transformers, for setting protective relays.

You ensure compliance and enforcement of legal and operational regulations.

About you

You have successfully completed your studies in an engineering course (ideally electrical engineering) or in a comparable field.

You have several years of professional experience in the area of planning substations and switching stations.

Confident use of the EngineeringBase planning tool.

Good general IT knowledge and experience with PrimTech / Eplan / EngineeringBase.

It is important to you to deal with our customers and partners in a solution-oriented and confident manner.

You are a team player, flexible and have organizational talent.

You complete your tasks independently and have a structured way of working.

You have a passion for sustainability and a high interest in renewable energies and their wide variety of technologies.

You have fluent German skills and also communicate excellently in English.
