Role Summary
Whether containers or coal, pallets or entire wind turbines – wherever in the world materials and loads need to be moved, we are there with our crane systems and lifting equipment. With our products we play in the first league worldwide. This also includes the mobile harbor cranes that we develop and produce in our factory in Düsseldorf Benrath with around 800 colleagues. Top devices with the latest drive and control technology that effortlessly lift loads of up to 200 tons.
During your training as a construction mechanic in the field of steel and metal construction, you will learn what makes our cranes really strong: steel and metal structures that do not sway even when they move several hundred tons of weight.
Training starts in August 2027.
This is what awaits you with us
Drawings: Reading and understanding construction, assembly, circuit, functional and welding plans as a basis for manufacturing and assembly.
Metalworking: Application of various processes such as welding, turning, milling, grinding, joining and forming with modern tools and machines.
Construction: Construction and assembly of steel structures, steel skeletons and components in steel and metal construction.
Precision work: Cutting, bending, screwing and adjusting steel beams and sheets with millimeter precision.
Work planning: Planning work processes and selecting suitable machines as well as the professional use of transport equipment and lifting equipment for large components.
Duration of training
3.5 years in the dual system (vocational school and training in the company) - shortening possible if you get good grades
