Role Summary

During your internship, you will work in the area of process and technology development for the production of novel control devices in the megatrends of e-mobility and autonomous driving with a focus on mechanical assembly and connection technology.

You support the development of classification concepts for manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic data recording and classification of sensor data.

The implementation and evaluation of classic machine learning approaches such as random forest on the microcontroller is part of your area of responsibility.

In addition, you will develop and port deep learning approaches for the ESP32 using the TensorFlow Lite (Micro) and Edge Impulse frameworks.

You will also evaluate the hardware options and create test projects with the ESP-Sensair shuttle - cooperation between Espressif and Bosch.

Your work includes exploring and testing Espressif's specific AI and machine learning libraries such as ESP-DL.

Last but not least, you will develop reference and demonstration applications (sample applications) based on the ESP Sensair shuttle.

Requirements

  • Education: Studies in computer science, engineering, natural sciences or comparable
  • Experience and know-how: in Python, microcontrollers and AI advantageous
  • Personality and way of working: you are a sociable, cooperative and analytical person who works independently, structured, goal- and result-oriented
  • Everyday work: your presence on site is required
  • Enthusiasm: interest in practical activities
  • Languages: business fluent English and good German
