Role Summary

  • Independent management and control of transport planning projects in the area of railway infrastructure
  • Planning and coordination of new construction, expansion and conversion projects in all service phases of the HOAI
  • Responsible for project execution on time, cost and quality

Technical management of interdisciplinary planning teams as well as coordination of interfaces to the areas of structural engineering, railway equipment, environmental planning and surveying

  • Coordination with clients, authorities, experts and other project participants
  • Participation in the creation of offers, feasibility studies and technical concepts
  • Support in the acquisition of new projects as well as maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Participation in the further development of sustainable and future-oriented infrastructure projects in rail transport

Requirements

Successfully completed studies in civil engineering, traffic engineering or a comparable technical field. Several years of professional experience in the planning of traffic systems in the area of railway infrastructure. Experience in managing and controlling complex infrastructure projects. Good knowledge of the relevant regulations, guidelines and planning processes of Deutsche Bahn. Ideally experience in working with public clients and infrastructure operators.

Skills

Solid understanding of the technical and organizational relationships within the railway system. Strong communication and coordination skills. Experience in managing interdisciplinary planning teams. Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of spoken and written English.
