Role Summary

Overall responsibility for management and control of projects in the area of railway technical equipment (BTA) across all project phases

Leading interdisciplinary project teams from the areas of control and safety technology (LST), telecommunications (TK), overhead line systems (OLA), 50 Hz systems and other related disciplines

  • Ensuring compliance with project goals in terms of quality, deadlines, costs and resources
  • Technical and organizational coordination of clients, planning partners, experts, authorities and other project participants
  • Responsible for project organization, risk management and project-related reporting
  • Participation in the development of technical solutions and strategies for demanding infrastructure projects in rail transport
  • Creation and review of offers, supplements as well as technical and economic project concepts
  • Maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships as well as actively supporting business development in the area of railway equipment
  • Support in the further development of processes, methods and standards within the department

Requirements

Successfully completed studies in civil engineering, traffic engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable technical field. Several years of professional experience in planning and/or project management of railway infrastructure projects. In-depth knowledge of railway equipment, ideally with a focus on control and safety technology. Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure projects as well as in managing interdisciplinary planning teams. Good knowledge of the relevant regulations.

Skills

Comprehensive understanding of the technical and organizational interfaces within the rail system. Confident use of project management methods as well as common planning and office applications. Experience in managing complex stakeholder structures and project organizations. Knowledge of BIM-based planning and working methods is desirable. Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of spoken and written English.
