Role Summary
- Independent planning of traffic systems in the area of railway infrastructure in the HOAI service phases
- Processing of demanding new, expansion and conversion projects in rail transport
- Creation and quality assurance of planning documents, technical reports and technical concepts
Technical coordination of project participants and coordination with related departments such as structural engineering, railway equipment, surveying and environmental planning
- Coordination with clients, authorities, experts and other project partners
- Participation in feasibility studies, variant studies and approval procedures
- Supporting the project management with scheduling, cost and resource planning
- Active participation in the further development of sustainable and future-oriented infrastructure projects in rail transport

Tools
Confident use of common planning and office applications. Experience with CAD-supported planning systems, ideally ProVI, Civil 3D or comparable applications. Knowledge of BIM-based planning and working methods is an advantage.

Requirements
Successfully completed studies in civil engineering, traffic engineering or a comparable technical field. Several years of professional experience in the planning of traffic systems in the area of railway infrastructure. In-depth knowledge of the relevant regulations, guidelines and planning processes of Deutsche Bahn. Experience in working on complex infrastructure projects and ideally knowledge of several HOAI service phases. Experience in working with public clients and infrastructure operators is an advantage.
Skills
Solid understanding of the technical and organizational relationships within the railway system. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to professionally control and coordinate interdisciplinary planning teams. Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of spoken and written English.
