Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of the committed roadmap of your teams, with a closed scope, estimated effort at the beginning of the period and commitments that are met on time.
• Develop and review code for the highest risk or most complex changes for your teams: critical features, migrations, regional expansion refactors and hotfixes.
• Resolve technical problems of high scope and complexity, and prevent their repetition with alerts, tests, guards and documentation.
• Provide architecture and design direction to your teams, and uphold code style, maintainability, and best practices in high-scale services and products.
• Own the production stability of your teams: triage, attribution, correction and remediation of errors, reverts, vulnerabilities and security findings.
• Maintain the release flow of your repos (sandbox → staging → production, branch synchronization, tags, CI) without deploy incidents.
• Develop the people on your teams: delegate the day-to-day work to the Tech Leads and make them grow, give written performance feedback in 1:1, and apply the monthly performance model as an improvement plan, not as a sentence.
• Participate in the hiring process: technical interviews and candidate review committee.
• Write and demand technical documentation; interface with Product, QA, DevOps and Support, scaling on time and with data.
• Availability to resolve critical issues as needed.

Requirements

• Essential: Advanced Conversational Spanish.
• +6 years of experience in Ruby on Rails and .NET.
• Knowledge of PM2, Domain Driven Design and Clean Architecture.
• Experience in event-oriented development.
• Motivation and self-management capacity, with excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrate skills in critical, logical and mathematical reasoning.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Availability of own computing equipment.
• To consider:
• Previous experience working with GCP.
• Experience working with Kafka and/or Pub/Sub.
• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of common algorithms and data structures.
