Radio MusicStar on the Rhine and Ruhr brings the best mix directly to the ears of our region. We are growing and looking for creative minds who don't just listen to the radio, but want to actively shape it. The best part? Your desk is where you feel most comfortable!

We are now looking for someone

Editorial intern (f/m/d) – 100% home office

Responsibilities

Your mission with us

You are not just “there”, you are right in the middle of it. As part of our digital team, you will help us shape the sound of the Rhine and Ruhr:

  • Content creation: You research exciting topics from the region, write moderation texts and draft articles.
  • Social media management: You maintain our channels (Instagram, Facebook & Co.) and ensure interaction with our listeners.
  • Audio editing: You support the editing of original sounds and small production elements.
  • Trend scouting: You keep an eye on what's currently happening in the Rhine and Ruhr - whether it's an event, excitement or lifestyle.

Requirements

  • Passion for radio: You love music and have a feel for good stories.
  • Feeling for language: You write confidently, creatively and have a “quick pen”.
  • Independence: Since we work from home, you bring initiative and reliability.
  • Technology affinity: You are not afraid of content management systems or audio editing software (we'll train you!).
  • Location reference: You know the Rhine and Ruhr region or are keen to explore it digitally.

Benefits

We know that your studies are a priority. That's why we support you with advantages that really help you move forward:

  • Practical credits & certificate: You will receive a qualified internship certificate that opens doors in the media industry. We will also be happy to provide you with all the necessary documents for your compulsory internship to be credited.
  • Individual mentoring: You get an experienced editor as a mentor who gives you regular feedback on your texts and productions - essentially free coaching for your journalistic skills.
  • Maximum time flexibility: lecture in the morning? No problem. We plan your editorial hours so that they fit perfectly around your timetable.
  • Reference portfolio: You can use everything you produce with us for your own portfolio/portfolio. After the internship, you will have solid work samples for your career start.
  • Networking in the industry: We connect you with professionals from the radio and music world on the Rhine and Ruhr - your foundation for a strong professional network.
  • Software training: You will learn how to use editorial systems and audio editing tools professionally, which will give you a huge advantage in media studies modules.
  • In the mood for the beat of the Rhine and Ruhr?
  • Then don't send us a dusty cover letter. Tell us briefly who you are, why you fit in with Radio MusicStar and what your current favorite song is.
