Director Professional Services & Cloud Operations (m/w/x)

Role Summary

The VertiGIS group of companies develops software solutions for geographic information systems (GIS). We are a leading solution provider in the areas of energy supply, water management, land management, authorities, infrastructure, facility management and telecommunications. Our products help companies plan, manage and optimize networks, systems and processes efficiently - in daily use worldwide.

The Land Management business unit supports public administrations in the digitization of surveying, cadastral and geoinformation. The VertiGIS LM Cloud forms the basis for new cloud-based operating and service models.

The position strategically develops professional services and cloud operations and scales the organization for managed cloud and subscription services. She leads the responsible managers and is responsible for an area with around 40 employees.

Responsibilities

• Cloud and service business
• Strategic further development of cloud operations, managed services and operating models for the LM Cloud
• Designing the transformation from project-oriented services to standardized cloud, managed service and subscription offerings
• Development and implementation of the roadmap for cloud business, services and operations including suitable KPIs and economic targets
• Leadership and organizational development
• Management and development of team leads and other managers in professional services and cloud operations
• Designing and scaling the organization through organizational development, competency building and change management
• Definition of responsibilities, standards and decision-making paths for collaboration across multiple teams
• Customer, partner and business development
• Advising customers and partners on strategic issues of digitalization, cloud implementation and transformation
• Collaboration with sales and offer management on strategically important projects and large projects
• Establishment and further development of technology and implementation partners for cloud, managed service and subscription offerings
• The position requires several years of experience in the following areas:
• Responsibility for strategic transformation programs in the areas of cloud, services or digital business models
• Management of team leads or other managers as well as organizational development and change management
• Building and scaling service organizations and transforming project-oriented business models towards managed cloud and service offerings
• Creation and evaluation of business cases, investment decisions and economic management of organizational units, taking profitability, utilization and scaling into account
• Collaboration with boards of directors, management, authority management or comparable decision-makers
• Additionally required are German skills at C2 level and English skills at C1 level.

• Expertise in GIS and land management
• Knowledge of the German government market
• Experience with Microsoft 365 as well as project management, BI and ERP solutions such as Microsoft Project, Power BI and NetSuite
