Automation & Software Developer Intern (f/m/x)

Role Summary

Enpal is looking for an Automation & Software Developer Intern to join the Supply Chain Management team.

We are looking for someone with a strong passion for software development, automation and artificial intelligence, interested in designing and implementing tools that optimize complex business processes.

During the internship you will have the opportunity to develop internal applications, integrate services via API, create automated workflows and contribute to the adoption of AI solutions to support Operations, the Finance team and the Supply Chain.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, transforming business needs into scalable, automation-oriented software solutions.

Responsibility

• Design and develop internal tools to automate business processes
• Develop scripts and applications for data processing and automation of operations
• Integrate business systems via REST APIs and cloud services
• Develop automated workflows and applications interfaced with AI - Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) and/or frameworks such as LangChain
• Design data processing pipelines and contribute to the management of company databases
• Analyze data to identify process optimization opportunities
• Participate in the design of dashboards and performance monitoring tools
• Write maintainable, documented and easily scalable code
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in defining functional requirements

Requirements

• Knowledge of the Italian language
• Good knowledge of back-end (especially) and front-end languages)
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Interest in software development, process automation and artificial intelligence
• Experience with LLM, AI Agents or Generative AI tools
• Problem-solving mentality and ability to design technical solutions
• Curiosity towards new technologies and predisposition for continuous learning

Nice to have

• Experience with REST API
• Familiarity with Git and versioning systems
• Degree (or current university course) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or similar STEM disciplines
• Experience with Docker
• Familiarity with Azure cloud
