You work for our Customer IT

Our Customer IT develops and operates specialized IT solutions for our more than 5 million electricity and gas customers in close cooperation with specialist departments. Our solutions not only ensure compliance with our regulatory market tasks, but also ensure maximum efficiency for our service partners in call center operations. In addition, automated digital customer processes and attractive customer self-services are fundamental components of our success. The Customer IT organization in Germany is divided into seven teams with colleagues in Hamburg, Berlin and Katowice (Poland).

In addition to project management, the responsibility of the “Delivery Management” team also includes application management for on-premise and SaaS solutions. In the position as Application Manager SAP IS-U/CRM, you will work with SAP Basis to ensure the smooth operation and availability of our German SAP IS-U/CRM systems. In addition, you will support the coordinated provision of further developments in the production systems.

Responsibilities

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Together with your colleagues in application management, you are responsible for the availability and stability of our complex SAP IS-U/CRM system landscape
• You work closely with our business stakeholders to understand current issues and future requirements, derive the impact on operations and service level agreements, and involve the affected specialist teams within IT and external providers
• You will involve our solution architects and the infrastructure teams within Vattenfall IT in order to further technically develop our complex system landscape and protect it from security risks
• You coordinate the elimination of errors that occur in system operation and communicate transparently with our specialist departments
• You are responsible for the functionality of the transport management of the SAP systems within a multi-level system landscape of operational and project instances with connected test and training systems
• You are responsible for the use and functionality of the Active Control transport tool, including any necessary upgrades and adjustments
• You also support the detailed planning and execution of system and client copies within the SAP system landscape and with life cycle management for the systems

Requirements

Our ideal Application Manager SAP IS-U/CRM has high communication skills in German (C1) and English (B1), a strong ability to self-structure and work independently and is curious and open to change.

You bring with you

Completed bachelor's, master's or diploma studies (IT, business informatics or comparable) or completed vocational training with corresponding many years of professional experience

• Good understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the increasing need for digitalization for energy supply companies
• Good understanding of the operational control model of a central IT
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (CHM, RDM, PRB)
• Comprehensive knowledge of the technical functionality of SAP systems, especially transport management
• Good knowledge of the SAP basis and the technical parameters for performance analysis and troubleshooting
• Interest in understanding the interaction and interactions between the SAP systems and the surrounding IT landscape and ensuring holistic improvements along the entire chain
• Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal working hours
