Role Summary

Workplace: Antofagasta Region, with field activities in the Plant, Mine and Salar de Ascotán areas.

Carry out sampling, measurement, inspection and environmental monitoring activities on the ground.

Take samples of water, air, soil and other environmental components according to established procedures.

Operate environmental measurement and monitoring equipment, ensuring its correct use and registration of information.

Execute field activities in accordance with established monitoring and planning programs.

Maintain the traceability, preservation and chain of custody of the samples obtained.

Record terrain information, observations and results associated with monitoring activities.

Comply with the technical, environmental and safety procedures applicable to the service.

Support the preparation of records and documentation associated with the activities carried out.

Timely report deviations, contingencies or findings detected during field work.

Ensure the care of equipment, instruments and materials used in the execution of the service.

Requirements

  • We are looking to incorporate a Field Technician / Environmental Sampler for the execution of environmental monitoring activities.
  • Higher level technician in Chemistry, Environment or related field.
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in environmental sampling and monitoring activities.
  • Advanced knowledge in environmental sampling techniques.
  • Experience in monitoring water, air, noise and environmental variables in the field.
  • Knowledge of environmental, safety and occupational health procedures.
  • Experience in using environmental measurement equipment and recording field data.
  • Ability to execute environmental sampling, measurement, inspection and verification activities.
  • Class B driver's license with at least 1 year old.
  • Availability to work on site and travel to different monitoring points.
  • Proactive, responsible, punctual person oriented to safe work in the field.
  • Ability to work as a team and comply with technical and operational procedures.
