Vehicle Technician

Bolands Motor Group is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join its workshop team at New Road, Clondalkin, Dublin, D22 PY56. This is a full-time permanent position.

40-hour work week

Responsibilities

Duties include and are not limited to

• Service, maintain and repair Opel passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Complete scheduled maintenance programmes in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
• Perform repairs to engines, transmissions, clutches, suspension, steering and braking systems.
• Carry out advanced fault-finding using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional repair requirements.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Prepare vehicles for NCT and roadworthiness testing and complete any required repairs.
• Complete workshop documentation and job cards accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
• Work collaboratively with service advisors and workshop management to maintain productivity and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Qualified Motor Technician, Automotive Technician or equivalent trade qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ workshop experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on petrol and diesel vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
