Role Summary
Are you an installation specialist with a mechanical engineering background and looking for a challenging role in which you act as a point of contact for project managers and building inspectors? Then we are looking for you!
As an Installation Specialist, your expertise is used in various project phases, such as location studies, second opinions, and small designs for office environments
You also play an important role in building inspections for purchase and sale due diligence. You will become the technical conscience of our organization!
In this position you check existing revision documents for feasibility for new office layouts and you carry out global checks on specifications, tenders and additional and reduced works from third parties.
You focus on cost-efficient solutions (value engineering) and monitor the price-quality ratio. You also inspect and report on real estate, determining any risks and drawing up cost plans
You advise clients on life cycle costs and sustainable investments
You are also active in generating and developing new customers and assignments, where you act as an ambassador for Drees & Sommer
Requirements
- An HBO/WO work/thinking level and a completed technical study in mechanical engineering
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the project-based field;
- Thorough knowledge of (re)housing projects and up to date with developments
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) and other installation techniques;
- Experience with energy management systems and knowledge of energy efficiency measures
- Knowledge of the relevant building codes, safety standards and other regulations in the real estate sector;
- Knowledge of contract management and experience negotiating and managing construction contracts
- Strong skills in managing projects from concept to delivery, including planning, budgeting and risk management is an advantage;
- An excellent command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written
- You are driven to deliver the best results for your clients
- A relevant professional network and can use this to generate new customers and assignments
