Role Summary

  • Provide technical support to Senior and Full CNC setters (support for reestablishing alarms, sizing of chamfers, visual inspection of product finishes, product inspection with gages, maintenance orders).

-Review compliance with the sequence of operations in the cells, according to the operating instructions.

  • Change tools and/or tooling (terms of life and/or any defect in the tool or product); in compliance with the specifications required for the product.
  • Make the necessary dimensional adjustments to the machine in accordance with the specified measurements and tests.
  • Release the finished pieces by using the measuring instruments, repeating the previous step until the product obtained complies.
  • Monitor the machines during the shift ensuring their correct operation in coordination with the maintenance area.
  • Carry out dimensional and/or visual inspection monitoring of the different types of machining, as required by the control plans.
  • Perform process routines: pokayokes audit, TPM, maintenance orders, production report in vLib and MES / PULSE.
  • Application of Jidoka escalation processes and backsort process in coordination with quality technicians.

Requirements

  • Technical career or TSU.
  • Experience in production processes.
  • Basic knowledge of CNC process.
  • Desirable: handling of sinumerik control machines.
  • Intermediate management of the Office package.
  • Knowledge in the preparation and adjustment of CNC machines.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Knowledge of tooling/tools for machining the product.
  • Interpretation of plans (tools, hardware, product, ate's).
  • Management of measuring instruments, gages, master (poka yokes).
  • Problem solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of tool assembly (thermal, hydraulic, mechanical).
  • Analysis in dimensional adjustments.
  • Electronic production report (MES/PULSE).
  • Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances (GD&T).
