Role Summary

As a field service engineer (f/m/d), you will be directly on site with our customers and carry out installations, maintenance work and on-site diagnostics as well as services on mechanical, electrical and electronic devices and components (printer systems, RFID, textile labels, etc.). Whilst you will regularly come into the office to collect equipment and spare parts, this is a hybrid role with 1-2 days of remote working per week. Travel activity is between 40% and 60%.

Carrying out installations, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical, electrical and electronic systems directly at the customer's site.

Analyzing complex data sets from ticket systems and other digital tools to identify error patterns, causes of errors and continuous service improvements.

Use of modern remote support technologies such as video assistance, AI video and other remote troubleshooting tools to quickly resolve problems remotely.

Instructing and training customers in the operation, maintenance and optimal use of our technological solutions (e.g. IoT, RPA, ServiceMax).

Independent management of service requirements as well as close cooperation with customer service, sales and the internal quality and technical teams in Löhne.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed training as an electrical engineer (m/f/d), electrician (m/f/d), mechatronics engineer (m/f/d) or a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering/electrical engineering/mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in (technical) field service and a valid class B driving license.
  • Very good knowledge of German as well as good written and spoken English skills for communication in the global team and the use of technical documentation.
  • Experience working with complex systems and modern technologies (e.g. IoT, ServiceMax, RPA) as well as remote support and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills under pressure, excellent communication skills in direct customer contact and a service-oriented way of working.
