Senior Software Engineer* Agentic AI

Role Summary

This is what awaits you with us

You work in consulting and software development projects for customers such as AXA, BMW, Deutsche Bahn and ZDF

You design, develop and implement software solutions by applying AI methods and tools throughout the software development process (e.g. LLMs, agentic frameworks, code generation and test automation)

You build agentic workflows (tool use/function calling, planner/executor, multi-agent patterns), define guardrails and ensure reliable behavior

You develop RAG and retrieval architectures (embeddings, chunking strategies, re-ranking), systematically evaluate quality and optimize latency/costs

If necessary, you will take on technical leadership in the project team and pass on your knowledge (e.g. through training courses).

Requirements

This is what sets you apart

• You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science or a comparable discipline
• You have in-depth, practical knowledge of software development (e.g. with Python, Java, C#, TypeScript) and the use of AI in software engineering (e.g. Claude or Copilot)
• You know AI algorithms and ML basics (e.g. classification, clustering, embeddings) and can evaluate AI systems
• You have practical experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Semantic Kernel) as well as prompting and structured outputs
• You are familiar with agentic protocols such as MCP and A2A
• You work independently and actively contribute to the success of your project team
• You speak fluent German (at least C1) and very good English (at least B2)
