Role Summary

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS NOW

We are currently migrating our entire Salesforce. Not as a maintenance project, but because our commercial teams have switched to four verticals and the old system no longer follows this structure.

What this means for you is that you will not be able to access a ready-made system in which you can process tickets. You come to the phase where the decisions are made. Data model, automation, permissions – a lot of it will be built in the next few months, and you are building it.

And there is a second level. For us, Salesforce is the basis for an AI layer we are working on. AI agents are only as good as the data structure they sit on. Without clean objects, hierarchies, and fields, any agent will produce unreliable results. This is exactly the structure you build – the foundation on which everything else rests. We decide together where the platform goes strategically. You are responsible for how this is implemented in the system in a clean and resilient manner.

This role is deliberately hybrid in Berlin. Not out of principle, but because the work demands it: you sit next to the people you are building for. An account manager will show you on the screen in two minutes where the process breaks - you don't need a ticket or a call. The best solutions in a CRM come from observed work, not requirements documents. That's why we expect you to work at least 3 days (4 days during the probationary period), not as a compromise, but as part of what makes the role good.

YOUR FIRST SIX MONTHS

• Month 1-2: You are deep into migration. Harden sandbox, process UAT feedback, fix bugs. You learn our processes by building and improving them in the system.
• Month 2-4: You take over your own workstreams along our processes - not individual tickets, but entire processes. The first custom flows go live and relieve our account managers of manual work.
• Month 4-6: You know the system better than anyone else in the house and become the person who says what works and what doesn't. You begin to systematically make the database AI-capable - and make your own suggestions where Agentforce or another layer has real leverage.

WHAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WITH US

The system. Data model, objects, fields, record types, validation rules, permission sets, layouts. You keep it consistent while four verticals pull on it at the same time. We don't have a system integrator who does this for you - you are the person in the system.

Processes instead of clicks. You look at how an account manager really works and then build. Not what is in the ticket, but what solves the problem.

The database for AI. For us, data hygiene is not a reporting topic, but rather a prerequisite for agents to work reliably. You establish hierarchies and standards that withstand an AI quality check.

The direct line to business. Our sales and account management teams come to you with your problems. You translate frustration into concrete improvements - and get to know a business that arranges thousands of shifts per week.

TEAM AND PROCESS

Your team. You work in our Commercial Excellence department, directly at the interface to the four verticals of our commercial teams. You are the central Salesforce expertise in-house – with short distances to the people who work with the system every day.

The process. Four steps: a 30-minute get-to-know-you session, a technical interview with Salesforce depth, a joint session on a real problem from our system, and getting to know the team on site in Berlin. We give feedback after every step, even in the event of a rejection.

Requirements

• Real depth as an admin. Several years hands-on, not off the mark. Data models, flows, permission sets, validation rules and page layouts are everyday life for you, not theory.
• Action bias. You solve problems instead of writing concepts about them. Your favorite response to a requirement is a working solution, not a workshop.
• Genuine interest in AI in the platform. You follow what Salesforce is doing with Agentforce and Data Cloud and have your own opinion about it - including a critical one. Practical experience with this is a strong plus, curiosity is mandatory.
• German and English at C1. Our commercial teams work in German, the company works in English. You need both.
• A plus, not a must: Apex and LWC, Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sharing & Visibility Designer), experience with multi-level account hierarchies.

• you want to design architecture but don't want to build the system yourself.
• you are looking for a well-rehearsed system with clear processes - we are in the middle of a renovation and a lot of things are unfinished.
• you think AI is hype and data hygiene is an end in itself.
• you want to work predominantly remotely: This role relies on you being physically with the teams.
• you need a setup with a delivery team, architecture board and a clear chain of requirements - with us the requests come directly from the teams to you.
