Senior Consultant (w/m/d) Restructuring & Turnaround Advisory — IDW S6

Role Summary

Restructuring reports, independent business reviews, insolvency-related analyzes - you take responsibility for demanding reorganization and restructuring mandates in the DACH region with a focus on Germany and provide the well-founded decision-making basis that makes the difference in special situations. Your mandates relate to real estate projects, existing properties and portfolios; Together with an integrated, interdisciplinary team, you will develop viable solutions for complex special real estate situations.

Controlling restructuring and redevelopment mandates in the context of special real estate situations (focus on reports, reviews & financial analyses)

Preparation of restructuring reports according to IDW S6, Independent Business Reviews (IBR) as well as analyzes according to IDW S11 for real estate project companies, portfolio holders and portfolio structures

• Creation, further development and plausibility of integrated financial, business and cash flow models as well as reliable liquidity and scenario calculations
• Analysis of real estate business models, property financing and causes of crises as the basis for viable restructuring and continuation concepts
• Developing reports, basis for decision-making and management presentations tailored to the target audience

Coordination with financiers, investors, shareholders and other stakeholders - including cold acquisition of new mandates and targeted acquisition of follow-up mandates

Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for property-specific, technical and property-related assessments

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in restructuring, turnaround, finance advisory, corporate finance, auditing or comparable areas
• Practical experience with IDW S6 reports, IBR and IDW S11 analyses
• Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills; high security in integrated planning, liquidity planning and scenario calculations
• In-depth knowledge of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis as well as plausibility checks of business plans
• Structured, analytical way of working with high quality standards and entrepreneurial thinking
• Strong communication skills and confident demeanor towards financiers, investors and other stakeholders
• High AI affinity and interest in innovative digital tools
• German language skills C1 and English language skills at least B2; Project-related willingness to travel in the DACH region
• Experience in the real estate environment is an advantage; alternatively, a strong willingness to acquire real estate know-how quickly and independently
