We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal professional has solid practical experience in building and managing infrastructure in Azure, with strong knowledge in Infrastructure Engineering and DevOps practices.

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, integrated with automated DevOps tools and pipelines, ensuring scalable, secure and efficient cloud environments.

This client is a company recognized as a leader in payroll solutions for small businesses, serving more than 900,000 customers and generating approximately US$2 billion in revenue. The team is distributed between the United States, United Kingdom, India and Brazil. Its mission is to build and evolve the RUN infrastructure and platform on Microsoft Azure, promoting innovation, scalability and excellent services for our customers.

The position requires interaction with international teams, and advanced English is required for daily communication.

In your work routine, you will come across the following activities:

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform.

Automate deployment and management of resources in Microsoft Azure.

Collaborate with architects and development teams in defining and implementing infrastructure solutions.

Ensure infrastructure code follows best practices, organizational standards, and security requirements.

Perform code reviews and provide technical feedback to the team.

Identify and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure code, deployments, and execution environments.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.

Use DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Git, VS Code, Jira and WebEx.

Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for stability, performance, costs, and security.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including architectural diagrams.

Stay up to date on new Azure services, features, and best practices.

Use GitHub Copilot efficiently for code generation, debugging, refactoring and creating unit tests.

DIFFERENTIALS

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of other cloud platforms, such as AWS and Google Cloud.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace and Datadog.

Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-400) will be considered an advantage.

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Developer or similar role.
• Solid knowledge of cloud computing and Microsoft Azure architecture.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Packer, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) or equivalent (Microsoft Bicep, AWS CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git.
• Solid knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (Python or Groovy).
• Solid knowledge of at least one scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Ansible or equivalent).
• Knowledge of networking, security and identity management in Azure.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and firewall rules.
• Experience with agile methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Degree in Computer Science or related field (desirable).
