Role Summary

As Founding Recruiter, you'll help build the team that builds Lassie. You'll own recruiting end to end: finding exceptional talent, creating an excellent candidate experience, partnering closely with hiring managers, and raising the bar of what great looks like.

To start, you'll have a handful of conversations with our team and founders. If there is mutual excitement, we'll invite you to the office where you'll work on a small project and meet the team.
Responsibilities
- Build Lassie's talent acquisition engine from scratch: strategy, process, tools, metrics, reporting, and brand
- Own end-to-end recruiting across software engineering, GTM, and G&A
- Partner with the founders and early hiring managers to define role requirements (MOCs) and design interview plans
- Do initial screens, and manage candidates through every stage from first touch to offer close
- Build talent pipelines across multiple simultaneous searches
- Create and refine recruiting analytics (funnel health, conversion rates, time-to-hire metrics, and more)
- Represent Lassie externally through events, meetups, and outbound messaging to raise awareness among top talent
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and make sure every touchpoint reflects Lassie's values and ambition
Requirements
- You have 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience and deep expertise in sourcing, assessing, and closing top talent
- You've mastered mapping talent-dense networks, sourcing, and maintaining long-term relationships with top talent
- You've designed or built AI-native workflows for recruiting tasks, or have a strong instinct for where AI eliminates manual work without compromising the candidate experience or quality of decision-making
