Role Summary

Would you like to be involved in complex new construction and renovation projects and take on responsible tasks? Your strengths lie in coordinating, leading and motivating a wide range of project participants? Would you like to manage building construction projects together with an ambitious team from the preliminary project through to handover? Then come to us! We are looking for an overall project manager with a focus on implementation immediately or by arrangement to complement our construction management team in Basel. We will work with you to shape your career at Drees & Sommer.

• Overall management/project management of medium-sized projects - from planning through execution to commissioning
• Managing and controlling all planners, entrepreneurs and authorities involved in the project in collaboration with the architects
• First point of contact for the client as well as leading planning and client meetings
• Tendering, execution scheduling, construction site logistics as well as cost planning and cost tracking
• Controlling cost, deadline and quality specifications
• Application of the LCM (Lean Construction Management) methodology in construction projects
• Leading employees in the project and their further development
• Acquisition of new projects and independent network development

Requirements

• Completed basic training in the field of structural draftsmanship, architecture or civil engineering or a comparable qualification; like MAS in construction management, federal. Diploma as a construction manager or technician in structural engineering with relevant professional experience
• At least 5 years of professional experience in construction or project management of medium-sized building construction projects, experience in the Swiss construction industry as well as in large projects is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written German, an advantage: good knowledge of English and/or French
• First experience in leading project teams
• Independent and responsible way of working, assertiveness and motivational ability
