During your dual studies, you alternate between theoretical and practical phases. You will gain practical experience at our locations in Wiesbaden and Ludwigshafen and study at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Mannheim.
This is what awaits you in your dual study program
You will receive comprehensive business training with insights into various areas of the company.
You will get to know exciting areas such as finance & controlling, marketing, human resources and corporate management.
You switch between theory phases at DHBW Mannheim and practical phases at AbbVie every three months.
You will work in various teams and projects and get to know the processes of an international pharmaceutical company.
You take responsibility for your own tasks and further develop your professional and personal skills.
You will build a valuable network within the company and gain insights into different career paths after you graduate.
Requirements
- What you bring with you
- Successfully completed high school diploma or an equivalent university entrance qualification (e.g. business school diploma)
- Interested in business topics such as marketing, controlling and corporate management
- Strong analytical thinking and enjoyment of understanding complex relationships
- Initiative, willingness to learn and fun working in a team
- Ability to communicate and treat others with respect
- What we offer you
Flexible working hours as part of the practical phases (37.5 hours/week, coordinated with study and deployment planning as well as sometimes fixed team or project times)

For the 2027 academic year, we are offering several study places in the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Business Administration course with a focus on business administration in industry.
