Construction Supervisor

Role Summary

Supervise store openings ensuring cost, time and quality of the project, with security and impeccable documentation, without affecting the operation of the store (live-store when applicable).

Review, validate and adjust the work program delivered by the contractor to align it with the client's operation, operational windows and project milestones.

Enforce scheduled time, sustaining ≥90% weekly milestones and implementing recovery plans when necessary.

Control cost vs. approved budget; prevent deviations and document all variations with traceability.

Demand and verify quality according to plans, specifications, submittals and acceptance criteria; liberate fronts with evidence.

Carry out a prior review of the project (plans/scopes) and identify inconsistencies in time; issue RFI and report to site PM.

Implement preventive corrections in the field to avoid reprocessing, delays and unforeseen costs.

Ensure Safety and Hygiene (SST): inductions, work permits, signage, audits, incident investigation and compliance with applicable NOM.

Maintain timely and executive communication with clients, Operations and contractors; clear minutes and agreements.

Manage documentation: electronic log, generators, estimates, photographic reports, MEP tests/startups and closing minutes.

Monitor the supply program for critical materials and equipment (logistics, reception, storage and compliance).

Validate all work performed (contract and extras), verifying materials, tools, personnel and equipment used to support estimates.

Propose and apply deductions for items not executed or out of specification, with evidence.

Ensure Change Orders (CO) in a timely manner, with required supports and in the client's format, managing agreements and punch lists. issuance, review and approval.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering, Architecture or similar (graduate).
• History in retail chains (AutoZone, OXXO, 7-Eleven, The Home Depot, Office Depot or others).
• 5+ years of experience in supervision of retail/commercial or light construction work.
• Mastery of reading plans, progress control, logbook, generators/estimates and construction closure (punchlist).
• Knowledge applicable in installations (MEP): electrical/HVAC/hydraulic (test coordination and start-up).
• Safety and Hygiene: practical application of NOM and work permits.
• MS Project/Excel/Office and management of monitoring platforms.
• Availability to work at night/weekends when the operation requires it.

• Tools and methods: AutoCAD (review and marking), MS Project/Excel (monitoring), digital log and professional photo reporting.
• Certifications: DC-3, work at heights/first aid; ISO 9001/45001 (exposure) is a plus.
• Validation of contractor programs and applied recovery plans without compromising quality/safety.
• Preparation and delivery of Change Orders with supports in the client's format; application of deductions for items not executed or out of specification (traceable evidence)
• Modality: By work and specific time (≈4 months per store)
