Role Summary
Build the platform on which our technical teams scale.
As a Senior AWS Platform Engineer (m/f/d), you design central platform services on which the module teams develop and operate their solutions. Together with your team, you decide where the greatest technical levers lie and create scalable foundations for the entire technical organization.
The position is 100% remote and can be carried out completely regardless of location in Germany.
- What you do
- Develop central platform services and ensure their reliable operation and continuous development
- Builds golden paths that provide module teams with clear and efficient paths to develop and deliver their solutions
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and compute blueprints that create reusable standards for technical organization
- Advise the module teams on technical issues and enable them to use the platform services effectively
- Ensure security standards and ensure that relevant requirements are consistently taken into account in the platform
- Anchor architectural standards that support scalable and consistent technical direction
- Design platform capabilities for deployment, observability and eventing and further develop them together with your team
- Build the platform from the ground up and set technical priorities where they create the greatest benefit for the module teams
- As part of on-call participation, supports the stable operation of the platform and its central services
- What you bring with you
- Have at least five years of practical experience with AWS and can confidently apply this to the development and operation of central platform services
- Master key concepts and technical requirements in the areas of networking and security
- Uses Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CDK to deliver infrastructure in a traceable and repeatable manner
- Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines for automated and reliable delivery processes
- Uses observability with logging and monitoring to make the status of the platform transparent and support its stable operation
- You have practical experience with Kubernetes and/or serverless architectures
- You communicate very confidently in German and English and can convey technical contexts in an understandable manner
- Are you ready to take part in the on call rotation and take responsibility for reliable platform operations
