Author of the Becoming a CFO course

Role Summary

We are looking for the author of the course "Becoming CFO" - a person who will help financial managers to move from controlling numbers to the role of a strategic business partner.

At Projector Institute, we create education that truly changes career trajectories.

It is important for us not just to teach the tools, but to help move to a new level of influence - in this case, from financial manager to CFO as a co-architect of the business.

We are currently looking for an author who has experienced this transition himself: works or has worked as a CFO, made decisions on raising capital, built a financial strategy and interacted with the CEO and the board. It is important to us that you think in categories of business value, not just financial discipline, and know how to convey this thinking to others.

(2-3 months are provided for the creation of the course, another 2 months for the implementation)

Who do we see in front of us when we imagine the ideal author of the Becoming CFO course:

• you are an active or ex-CFO of a medium or large business;
• you have experience working with the CEO and the board;
• made decisions regarding the capital structure and attracting financing;
• worked with growth strategies, not just cost control;
• you have experience in making decisions in conditions of uncertainty;
• you think through value creation, ROIC, long-term business value;
• you can explain complex financial concepts through real cases;
• built the financial function as a system, not just reporting;
• Willingness to share experience through real cases, analysis of the thinking process, mistakes and decisions made;
• You easily manage to convey your enthusiasm and love for finance to others.

It's just great and it will be an advantage if you also:

• you have M&A experience (estimation, due diligence, integration)
• worked with investors or funds (VC/PE)
• participated in business scaling or preparation for exit
• held strategic sessions
• you have experience teaching or mentoring middle/senior specialists
• has already interacted with our Institute before.

Therefore, in short, in general, there will be 2 main tasks:

• Write course programs (develop an idea for a course work, develop homework and fill the course with materials for webinars)
• Conduct a course (online webinars 2 times a week, check and feedback on homework, communication with students).
