The AMI (Allergan Medical Institute) Associate Manager is responsible for taking through health care providers’ educational journey and upskill them with injectables AA products by offering training opportunities.

The candidate will be responsible to lead the execution and help development of medical education strategy from concept/message development and handoff to execution that align with our brand strategy, implement solutions with educational trainings with mix of virtual and face-to-face to meet the needs of HCPs for optimal patient outcome.

Responsibilities

EDUCATION ACTIVITIES

• Plan and execute medical education strategy in alignment with international and local goals and objectives by working closely with Lead.
• Responsible for local roll-out of global/regional medical education strategy, content assets.
• Co-create high-quality training content with faculty members by eliciting physicians’ perspectives, clinical insights, and educational needs, and translating them into clear, scientifically sound, and clinically relevant educational content.
• Lead assigned education projects from concept and content development through implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Help develop planning and execution of new project (incl. contents creation) in AMI and manage to launch it to meet the timeline.
• Collaborate cross functionally with both international and local internal stakeholders – AMI team, marketing, medical, legal and compliance, etc., and with external partners to facilitate and ensure quality and timely delivery of projects.
• Track year planning of activities for tactical execution, analyzing outcomes and providing recommendations for improvements.
• Closely work with stakeholders to maintain strong relationships with KOLs and thought leaders and develop key customers.
• Cultivate strong relationships with cross functional departments.
• Ensure programs are executed compliantly and in-line with regulatory and legal regulations.
• Take a proactive approach in researching new trends in facial aesthetics.
• Manage the expense within the agreed budget and contribute towards the setting of future budgets.
• Travel to select programs, events, and conventions.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Education – Master or Bachelor’s degree in related fields
• Experience in pharmaceutical & device industry, and /or field related to training
• Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
• Strong experience and understanding of medical education planning and execution
• Creative and innovative mindset to develop new approaches beyond conventional methods
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization
• Ability to work under pressure, set priorities, and act with ownership
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects and adapt to changing priorities
• Performance-driven with strong teamwork skills
• Strong scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge; clinical trial experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills to discuss scientific data and clinical techniques with senior clinicians and colleagues
• Advanced Japanese and English communication skills (TOEIC 800+)
• Willingness and availability to travel domestically and/or internationally
• Ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations, identify key issues, and make sound decisions
• Commitment to creating better educational environments that improve healthcare professionals’ capabilities and patient outcomes
• Ability to distinguish facts from assumptions, validate key information, and escalate uncertainties appropriately

R&D Process Engineering Organization, a part of AbbVie’s Development Sciences organization, is responsible for designing and developing scalable processes to make drug substances and drug products, including synthetics molecules, antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) and genetic medicines, throughout pre-clinical and clinical development stages. Process Engineering also partners with Biologics CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) Development and Aesthetics R&D functions to provide active engineering support to enable robust process scale-up and manufacturing of biologics drug substances and drug products including toxins and cosmetic active ingredients (CAIs). It drives the development of innovative engineering technologies and creates valuable intellectual property through the composition of matter and chemical/bio-chemical processes resulting in cost-effective commercial manufacturing processes for quality products.
