As a Test Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and reliability of our world-class high voltage switchgear. Responsibilities

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Execute final inspection and routine testing of Gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) subassembly up to 550kV nominal voltage;
  • SF6 (Sulfur hexafluoride) Gas handling and leakage testing. High voltage and mechanical testing;
  • Perform partial discharge (PD) measurements using radio frequency (RF) and acoustic techniques;
  • Evaluate and diagnose GIS subassemblies. Identify functional problems and suggest solutions;
  • Support production with measurements and technical consulting;
  • Technically support and implement maintenance measures for test facilities and measuring Equipment;
  • Initiates and drives continuous improvement activities. Develops, implements and improves relevant policies and procedures to improve effectiveness across the engineering function;
  • Primarily responsible for high voltage testing, dielectric testing on power equipment e.g. Switchgear and Cable Accessories products, data collection, and development of test reports;
  • Implementation, monitoring and verification of high voltage, dielectric and mechanical routine tests;
  • Maintain Test Report Database.

Requirements

  • At least Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering;
  • Good communication skills in English - written & spoken;
  • IT user, basic SAP skills are advantage;
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office), experience in CAD programs;
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies;
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills;
  • Experience in coordinating multiple teams, good team-player. Experience in working in multicultural environment;
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines;
