As a Senior Program Manager, you will lead the implementation of key initiatives within Lightspeed's performance marketing portfolio, driving strategic advancements, operational efficiencies and measurable growth. You will work closely with GTM teams and the entire Lightspeed organization to ensure seamless execution of priority programs. You will play a critical role in driving performance marketing initiatives aimed at strengthening customer acquisition, optimizing marketing investments and driving sustainable business growth. Leveraging structured execution frameworks, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, track progress against OKRs, and drive measurable business impact. Your ability to orchestrate complex initiatives with clarity and precision will be essential to achieving results efficiently and effectively.
Additionally, you will help stakeholders apply best practices in program execution, while building strong relationships with leadership to drive alignment on high-priority initiatives. You will work closely with Marketing, Growth, Sales, Finance and other cross-functional partners to identify opportunities, remove obstacles and ensure performance marketing programs meet business objectives. Given Lightspeed's dynamic environment, the ability to adapt is essential: you will proactively respond to changing business needs, supporting both the GTM team and Lightspeed's broader strategic objectives as market conditions and opportunities evolve.
Location: Lightspeed is particularly looking for qualified candidates residing in the Greater Montreal area, as this position is part of a hybrid work model involving a regular presence at the Montreal head office.
Responsibilities
- Independently initiate and lead the execution of key cross-functional programs across Lightspeed to support business performance and execution of Lightspeed's strategy.
- Collaborate with sponsors, senior leaders, business opportunity owners and stakeholders to achieve key business and financial success indicators for programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment in the areas of business and finance.
- Excellent understanding of performance measurement criteria and business results for each program.
- Ability to leverage change management principles to ensure programs can be adapted based on evolving strategies or changing priorities of program steering groups.
- As necessary, work in collaboration with business opportunity managers, as well as analysts and business model specialists to ensure speed and stability.
- Programs and solution approach, seeking clarity in case of ambiguity regarding deliverables, defining scope and developing execution plans.
- Effectively use program delivery tools and techniques, including initiation, scoping, governance, metrics tracking, milestone definition, deliverable management, task assignment, resource planning, managing sponsor expectations, risk mitigation, managing team interdependencies and change management, and retrospective analysis.
- Provide proactive assistance in defining areas for improvement for the purposes of developing and implementing the Lightspeed management program.
- Present and communicate complex ideas succinctly with clear messaging on progress and necessary decisions, and regular reporting on program execution and measurement criteria.
- Provide support and feedback to other members of the Go-to-Market Programs and Lightspeed team.
Requirements
What you should bring
- At least 7 years of experience leading the implementation of large, complex and high-impact work programs; or equivalent.
- Experience in leading and collaborating with multiple teams, establishing strong relationships with stakeholders, in a collaborative spirit, to achieve exceptional results both commercially and individually.
- Experience in an in-house project manager role, focused on performance marketing, with a solid understanding of customer acquisition, campaign performance, marketing channels and key metrics that drive growth and ROI.
- Ability to collaborate with marketing, growth, sales, finance and other cross-functional teams to implement performance marketing initiatives and translate data and analytics into measurable business results.
- Experience in processing data, analyses, financial results and objectives; ability to clearly present results in a business environment.
- Comfortable working in a context of ambiguity within a large, complex and growing global organization, and seeking inter-organizational alignment – ability to act with composure
- Thorough proficiency in creating and maintaining program documents, such as the Program Charter, Program Plan, RAID Registries/Project Plans, and status updates.
- Competence and proactivity in monitoring and controlling program progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communicator (at all levels and with multiple stakeholders), with a strong focus on the progress and results of initiatives, clear decision-making and data-driven actions and results.
- Preferably experience in a high growth environment, preferably in the SaaS field
- Preferably, experience within an international company
- As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, proficiency in English as a working language is required for this position.
