We are looking for a Strategy Analyst to join our team at Lightspeed. In this role, you will contribute to corporate and business strategy initiatives by conducting analysis, developing strategic insights and helping teams make data-driven decisions. As Lightspeed embarks on its next phase of growth and multi-year transformation, you will help define and support key strategic priorities across the company.
The ideal candidate will have excellent strategic acumen, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Support corporate and business strategy initiatives through research, analysis and development of strategic insights, including contributing to annual strategic planning and regular strategic review cycles
- Break down complex business issues and carry out quantitative and qualitative analyzes
- Design models, synthesize data and prepare documents to support decision-making at management level
- Contribute to the development of business cases, plans and recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and support the implementation of key initiatives
- Contribute to monitoring the progress and performance of initiatives based on key milestones and objectives
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as great attention to detail
- The ability to structure problems and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic environment
- Ease of working with data and transforming analysis results into clear and relevant findings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and functions
- A proactive approach, a willingness to learn and the ability to take charge of your responsibilities
- As an international company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, proficiency in English as a working language is required for this position.
This would be an asset, but it is not essential:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in consulting, strategy, finance or a related field
- Experience in structured problem-solving mandates (e.g. strategy, operations or transformation projects)
- Internship or early career experience including data analysis and business problem solving
- Experience in SaaS, fintech or other technology-driven environments
