Senior Metrology Engineer (m/w/d)

Role Summary

PolyTALENT supports a rapidly growing partner in Hamburg in filling this responsible position as Quality & Metrology Lead / Quality Engineer Measurement Technology (m/f/d).

You are responsible for all measurement technology and quality assurance at the Hamburg location - from CMM programming and initial sample testing to the analysis of deviations and audit preparation.

You will build the QA structures from the ground up, define testing and measurement strategies and ensure that quality data flows directly back into production. A hands-on role with a lot of personal responsibility: you program, measure, evaluate and approve components yourself.

Responsibilities

Programming, optimization and maintenance of CMM/KMG test programs, e.g. B. in PC-DMIS or Zeiss Calypso

• Carrying out initial sample tests, incoming goods, intermediate and final tests
• Evaluation of complex components according to technical drawings, GD&T and ISO-GPS
• Determination of measurement strategies, reference systems, clamping concepts and test procedures
• Analysis of measurement data and derivation of measures for dimensional, shape and position deviations
• Release of components and direct feedback to production, machining and CAM
• Monitoring, calibration and management of measuring equipment and test equipment
• Creation and maintenance of test plans, FAI documentation and quality records
• Participation in EN 9100 / ISO 9001 compliant processes and audit preparations
• Further development of internal quality assurance including digital use of measurement and quality data

Requirements

• Several years of practice in CMM/KMG programming, 3D measurement technology or industrial quality assurance
• Suitable background as a measurement technician (m/f/d), quality engineer (m/f/d), quality inspector (m/f/d) or in a comparable position
• Confident use of PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso or comparable CMM software
• Experience in precision manufacturing, CNC machining, precision engineering or similar production environments
• Very good knowledge of drawing reading, GD&T, form and position tolerances and ISO GPS
• Routine in measuring tight tolerances, even in the range of ±0.01 mm and below
• Practice with portal CMM, hand measuring equipment, gauges and other testing methods
• Knowledge of FAI, EN 9102, AS9102, SPC or process capability analyzes is a plus
• Structured, analytical way of working with a focus on root cause analysis and process improvement
• Good English skills for working in an international environment
