Role Summary

Would you like to be responsible for complex accounting topics, ensure reliable financial statements and actively contribute your expertise to the further development of a growing accounting system? Then we are looking for you as soon as possible as:

Senior Accountant / Bookkeeper (m/f/d)

As a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) you will take responsibility for complex accounting and financial statement issues within the Arsipa Group. Together with Christian, our head of accounting, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our accounting processes and support the team as a technical contact. You create and audit monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, work closely with auditors and tax advisors and contribute your experience to the optimization, standardization and automation of our finance processes. We need your support for this!

Financial statements & accounting

Responsibility for complex accounting, balance sheet and closing issues according to HGB.

Independent preparation and technical review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Analysis and clarification of complex accounting issues as well as ensuring a technically correct and comprehensible presentation.

Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting, compliance and quality standards.

Stakeholders & technical support

Function as a competent contact person for auditors, tax advisors as well as internal finance and business stakeholders.

Close collaboration with our head of accounting and the central finance functions of the Arsipa Group.

Technical support and guidance for less experienced colleagues on complex accounting and financial statements topics.

Passing on accounting knowledge and actively promoting uniform quality standards within the team.

Processes, automation & finance projects

Analysis of existing accounting processes as well as identification and implementation of concrete optimization potential.

Further development, standardization and documentation of scalable accounting and closing processes.

Participation in automation, digitalization and cross-departmental finance projects.

Contribution of technical expertise in the further development of our ERP, reporting and finance structures.

Requirements

This is what you bring with you

Many years of professional experience in accounting, accounting or accounting - ideally five to eight years or comparable professional development with demonstrable responsibility for complex accounting topics.
Successfully completed commercial training, a degree with a focus on finance or a comparable qualification as well as very good knowledge of ERP, accounting and reporting systems as well as strong analytical skills.

Very good knowledge of accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) as well as in-depth experience in independently preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, experience in working with auditors and tax advisors as well as in dealing with more complex accounting and compliance issues.

High level of personal responsibility, professional excellence and a quality, process and solution-oriented way of working. You communicate confidently in German at least at C1 level; Knowledge of English is a plus.

This will help you be successful faster

Completed further training to become an accountant (IHK) or a comparable additional professional qualification as well as experience in medium-sized, international or complex multi-entity company structures are an advantage.
Initial experience in providing technical guidance, support or further development to less experienced colleagues is an advantage, as is experience in optimizing and automating accounting and closing processes.
Interest in digital finance processes, automation and the continuous development of accounting structures as well as in multi-entity, buy-and-build or rapidly growing corporate structures would be desirable.
