As a security engineer with us, you work to establish, improve and operate security mechanisms in complex IT environments. You are close to both architecture and operations, and ensure that good safety principles actually become a reality. The role is suitable for those who want to work where safety is implemented, managed and further developed in practice, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to some of Norway's most exciting businesses.

What will the work tasks entail?

The tasks will include, among other things, the implementation and operation of security solutions such as EDR, XDR, SIEM and IAM, as well as securing and hardening clients, servers and cloud platforms. You will work on automating security tasks and improving detection, while working closely with SOC, architects and development teams to strengthen security across environments. The role also involves troubleshooting and further development of security controls in existing solutions, and you will contribute to identifying weaknesses through testing, analysis or attack simulation.

You typically work at the intersection between operation, development and security, and get a varied working day where you both build, improve and follow up security mechanisms that must work in practice.

Requirements

You are technically strong and are triggered by making systems work safely. Perhaps you currently work with infrastructure, platform or operations and have moved into security, or perhaps you are already a security engineer and want to work with larger and more complex environments. We are looking for you who have experience with IT operation, platform or security implementation, and who understands how systems can be attacked through, for example, vulnerability scanning, testing or analysis. You have preferably worked with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel or equivalent EDR, XDR and SIEM platforms, and have a good understanding of identity and access, for example Entra ID and IAM. It is also an advantage if you know security principles such as zero trust, least privilege and hardening, and have an interest in automation through scripting, SOAR or the like. The most important thing is that you want to develop further in technical security. Relevant experience can make up for formal education.
