Lightspeed is looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Representative - Outbound to join our growing Montreal Outbound sales team. You will contribute to increasing revenue by generating and qualifying leads, being the first point of contact between potential new customers and the Lightspeed brand. Your work will have a direct impact on the success of Lightspeed's mission to provide hoteliers and restaurateurs with innovative technology tools.
After years of perfecting and optimizing our strategy in a targeted market, our Outbound team is in hypergrowth mode and ready to expand, and we need a motivated and energetic individual, passionate about helping entrepreneurs supercharge their businesses, to help us get there. Responsibilities
- Identify potential customers and present our products to decision makers through telephone, email and in-person communications.
- Engage and qualify new leads through various channels including phone, email, text and social media.
- Participate in the establishment of a new Sales Outbound team focused on developing our local presence.
- Collaborate with teams, in particular by managing the transfer to Account Executives so that they can demonstrate the software to potential clients.
- Work with the Marketing and Sales teams on strategies to grow our sales pipeline, based on your conversations and prospect feedback.
- Consistently achieve clearly defined monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
What you bring to the team
- Experience in sales or in a call center, with the energy and desire to exceed set objectives.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including listening, verbal and written communication.
- Good knowledge of technology and an ability to explain it clearly to people who do not understand it.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- An entrepreneurial and agile mindset, with a bias for action and an ability to pivot when necessary to meet business needs and goals.
Requirements
Ideally, but not essential, you have
- Experience in the hospitality or E-commerce sector.
- Experience in payment terminals or other technologies (software, mobile, etc.).
