We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team (retailers). Reporting to the New Markets Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our potential customers with our sales team. Our Sales Development Representatives are responsible for driving revenue growth by generating and qualifying leads for the Lightspeed sales team. Responsibilities
- Drive new business growth by qualifying valuable prospects from marketing sources (webinars, trials, quote or demo requests), primarily by phone and email
- Support all prospects to qualify for the Lightspeed inside sales team
- Create a great first impression to our potential and current customers by providing them with a world-class experience
- Verify customer needs to determine if Lightspeed solutions are right for them
- Manage multiple lead sources including inbound calls, emails, chats and referrals at any time
- Manage existing customer database using Salesforce, to ensure all communications are recorded and cataloged
- Work with the manager of new markets to develop new strategies to increase the sales network and systematically achieve monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
- Assume other tasks and responsibilities defined by management
What you have to bring to the team
- More than 1 year of sales experience in a business-to-business environment, preferably in a solutions or technology sales context
- Strong desire to work in technology sales and strong technical aptitude
- Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills, including good listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Ability to thrive in a competitive, dynamic, quota-based environment
- As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, proficiency in English as a working language is required for this position.
- Ability to effectively accomplish multiple tasks at once
- Strong critical thinking skills
