Role Summary

We plan and implement wastewater treatment plants with the most modern technologies for further nutrient elimination and the removal of organic trace substances. We also minimize energy consumption, use wastewater as a resource and close material cycles for sustainable solutions. Support us in the planning and implementation of sewage treatment plants. Plan with us the sustainable infrastructure systems of tomorrow that will help improve water quality in rivers and lakes and at the same time inspire our developers with innovative and customer-oriented solutions.

Responsibilities

PROJECT MANAGER: IN CIVIL ENGINEERING IN THE FIELD OF WATER & WASTEWATER 80-100% - ZURICH
Design the water infrastructure of tomorrow
Sewage treatment plants and residential drainage systems are among the most demanding infrastructure projects: They combine civil engineering, structural engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering and building technology - often during ongoing operations and with high demands on quality, deadlines and costs.
- At AFRY you take on a central role in such projects. You develop building concepts, coordinate interdisciplinary planning teams and accompany our customers from the initial idea to successful implementation.
- You don't work alone: In our Water & Environment team you will meet experienced experts who share their knowledge, take responsibility and support each other.
- Planning and implementing sophisticated civil engineering structures and developing innovative and economical solutions for operators of wastewater treatment plants and urban drainage systems
- Take over overall or sub-project management and control quality, costs, deadlines and risks
- Coordinating interdisciplinary project teams and managing the interfaces to structural planning, process engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, building technology and EMSR
- Advise and support our customers and represent the projects to developers, authorities, those involved in planning and executing companies throughout all SIA planning phases
Requirements
- Completed studies in civil engineering, architecture or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in the planning and implementation of infrastructure, industrial or building construction projects
- Experience ideally in the area of water and wastewater, in structural engineering, in structural planning or in specialist construction management
- Interest in interdisciplinary issues and enjoy working with different departments
- Experience in collaborative project management with BIM and digital planning methods
- Independent, structured way of working as well as strong communication and team skills
- Very good oral and written knowledge of German and good knowledge of English. Knowledge of French is an advantage, but not a requirement
