Role Summary

The Impact of a Product Management Director at Coupa

Coupa is scaling one of the world’s largest B2B supplier networks, connecting millions of buyers and suppliers globally through community-generated AI and trillions of dollars in direct and indirect spend data. This role sits at the heart of Coupa’s next phase of growth. You will directly shape the future of the Coupa Network by leading AI-forward innovation that scales supplier success, buyer trust, intelligent automation, and monetization into a durable, two-sided marketplace strategy.

Join our fast-paced Supplier Network team that is building the future of the Coupa Network. As a senior product leader, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution for AI-powered features that transform how buyers and suppliers discover, connect, transact, and build trust at scale—driving measurable network liquidity, revenue growth, and platform differentiation in the spend management ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for aspects of our Supplier Network, with a strong emphasis on AI-forward capabilities such as intelligent buyer-supplier matching, predictive risk and fraud detection, generative AI for onboarding and insights, autonomous workflows, and adaptive trust/identity verification.
  • Define and scale two-sided growth loops that increase buyer demand, supplier participation, transaction velocity, and network effects while maintaining marketplace integrity and buyer trust.
  • Lead product strategy for supplier business, including subscriptions, premium visibility, marketplace access, sourcing events, APIs, and new AI-powered premium services.
  • Partner deeply with Engineering, AI/ML, Design, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver high-impact features from concept to launch and iteration.
  • Drive product-led growth (PLG) motions tailored to enterprise procurement workflows, balancing speed with long-term platform health and second-order network effects.
  • Engage directly with customers and prospects to validate needs, gather insights, and shape differentiating solutions in supplier profiles, risk, trust, and identity management.
  • Define north-star metrics and success frameworks focused on network liquidity, activation rates, monetization, retention, and AI-driven business outcomes
  • Monitor emerging trends in AI, two-sided marketplaces, trust/identity providers, and spend management to keep Coupa at the forefront of innovation.

What You Will Bring to Coupa

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with senior leadership ownership of growth, monetization, marketplace, or network products in B2B SaaS companies
  • Proven experience scaling two-sided buyer and supplier networks (or equivalent marketplaces/platforms) with a track record of driving meaningful revenue and adoption
  • Strong intuition for AI/ML applications in enterprise workflows (e.g., predictive analytics, generative AI, intelligent automation, or trust/identity systems).
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, matrixed organizations with the ability to influence across functions and executives.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, excellent communication, and a builder mindset comfortable with ambiguity and high accountability.

Requirements

Preferred

  • Direct experience at spend management platforms like Coupa or similar (e.g., procurement, payables, or supplier risk solutions).
  • Background with trust and identity providers or supplier verification companies such as Relish or Trustpair (vendor fraud prevention, bank account validation, and identity verification) in B2B.
  • Passion for AI innovation and its ability to transform B2B commerce and supplier ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of procurement, spend management, supplier lifecycle, risk management, or supplier information management.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
