Role Summary
As a Payroll Team Leader you are responsible for managing, coaching and further developing a small payroll team. At the same time, you actively participate as a specialist within the payroll processes.

Responsibilities
- Your duties include
- People management & team development
- You motivate, coach and develop your payroll team.
- You plan, distribute and monitor the work within the team.
- You organize regular team meetings, development discussions and follow-up moments.
- You ensure knowledge sharing, training and guidance of colleagues.
Payroll & administration
- Together with the team, you are responsible for correct and timely payroll processing.
- You manage employment contracts and ensure correct and up-to-date personnel data.
- You closely monitor time registrations, absences and wage components.
- You manage reimbursements for business trips, expenses and mileage reimbursements.
- You ensure timely declarations and reports to government agencies.
Compliance & systems
- You are responsible for the management and optimization of the payroll systems.
- You monitor compliance with social legislation, tax obligations and GDPR guidelines.
- You maintain contacts with external parties such as auditors, government agencies and other stakeholders.
- You monitor changes in legislation and regulations and translate them into the payroll processes.
Requirements
- What are you bringing?
- You have several years of experience in payroll and social legislation.
- You have experience in managing, coaching or guiding a small team.
- You combine strong people management skills with a hands-on mentality.
- You feel at home in an operational environment where you actively participate.
- You work accurately, structured and have an eye for detail.
- You are stress-resistant and know how to set priorities in a dynamic retail environment.
- Experience with SAP HR, time registration systems or payroll software is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of the Dutch, English (and ideally also French) language

Are you an experienced payroll professional who gets energy from both people management and operational cooperation? Then you might be the Payroll Team Leader we are looking for!
We are looking for a Payroll Team Leader who can not only inspire and develop a small team (4 employees), but who also likes to roll up his sleeves in the daily payroll activities.
In this role you combine operational leadership with substantive payroll expertise. You are responsible for correct and timely payroll processing for our employees and, together with your team, you ensure that all payroll processes run smoothly, efficiently and in accordance with legislation.
