As a Network Officer, you will be a visible frontline presence across the bus network, supporting passengers, promoting safe travel, and ensuring compliance with conditions of travel. This is a dynamic, people-focused role where no two days are the same. You will work in pairs or small teams, travelling throughout the network, engaging with hundreds of passengers daily, and balancing strong customer service with compliance and enforcement responsibilities.
Following successful completion of Translink Authorised Person training, you will be appointed as an Authorised Person under legislation. In this capacity, you will exercise legislative powers to request passenger details and issue warning notices and infringement notices for fare evasion and behavioural offences across the bus network and public transport infrastructure.
You will be expected to apply legislation and policy consistently, even in challenging situations, while always maintaining professionalism, fairness, and respect.

- Work collaboratively with a partner across shifting locations and operational priorities
- Participate in community engagement activities such as school visits, outreach programs, and local events
- Support drivers, respond to incidents, and collaborate with stakeholders including Queensland Police when required
