Manual QA Engineer

Role Summary

Running manual tests

Design and execute manual test cases to validate the functionality of API and microservices platforms.

Carry out regression tests, smoke testing and functional tests.

Collaboration with teams

Work with the QA Lead to define acceptance criteria and test plans.

Participate in reviews of functional requirements (FRs).

Documentation and reporting

Document test cases and results in tools like Zephyr or JIRA.

Record, clarify and prioritize identified bugs.

Support for teams

Collaborate with support teams for knowledge transfer on new data flows.

Help resolve platform issues.

Process improvement

Suggest improvements for manual testing methodologies.

Actively participate in the QA Community of Practice (CoP).

Requirements

• Bac+ 5 in IT with experience between 3 to 5 years.
• Proven experience in manual testing for web, API or microservices applications.
• Ability to design detailed test cases and maximize requirements coverage.
• Proficient in testing tools like Postman, Insomnia (for manual API testing).
• Experience with Zephyr (a plus) or other test management tools (TestRail, etc.).
• Knowledge of bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Understanding of REST APIs, WebServices and microservices architectures.
• Basic notions of scripting (Python, JavaScript) to automate simple tasks (a plus).
• Attention to detail and ability to identify complex anomalies.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and business teams.
• Fluent English
