Internship IT Security / Cybersecurity – Secure Development Environment (m/f/d)

Role Summary

Would you like to put your knowledge from your studies to practical use and deal with cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and digitalization in an industrial environment? In your internship, you will support us in designing a secure digital development environment for the development and implementation of injection molding tools.

You analyze existing requirements and processes, deal with current technologies and best practices in the area of IT security and use them to develop a holistic concept for a modern and secure system environment. This gives you exciting insights into the digitalization of plastics technology and allows you to independently accompany a specific topic from analysis to recommendation for action.

Responsibilities

• You research current technologies, tools, concepts and best practices related to secure digital development environments and IT security.
• You analyze existing working methods, processes and requirements of a selected department and derive technical and security-relevant requirements from them.
• You deal with the existing IT infrastructure and system landscape and identify requirements for a secure development environment.
• Based on your analysis, you will develop a concept for a modern and secure development environment that can be used, among other things, for the development of digital tools in the tool development environment.
• You define suitable processes, roles, responsibilities and security requirements for future handling of the development environment.
• You evaluate different technical solution approaches and incorporate suitable technologies into your concept.
• Finally, you prepare your results in a structured manner and develop a recommendation for further implementation.

Requirements

• You are studying computer science, cybersecurity, IT security, business informatics or a comparable course of study and would like to complete your mandatory internship next semester
• You are interested in cybersecurity, digitalization, IT infrastructures and system architectures.
• Ideally, you have already been able to gain initial practical experience in the area of IT or system security.
• You enjoy independently familiarizing yourself with new technologies and complex technical issues.
• You work analytically, structured and goal-oriented and enjoy developing your own solutions.
• You are communicative and enjoy working with different departments.
• You have very good written and spoken German and English skills.
• You can imagine continuing the topic as part of a bachelor's thesis after your internship.
