Role Summary
Eaton's ADMIN Administrative division is currently seeking an Incoming Technician.
MAIN FUNCTION
Carry out audits, inspections and tests (dimensional, visual and functional, as applicable) on the manufacturing processes and/or components received from internal and external suppliers, with the objective of ensuring product quality following the company's quality standards. Ensure compliance with the internal procedures of the Quality System, as well as the applicable EQS policies.
For technicians in the Incoming area
- Make transactions in AS400 and Wisper (if applicable) of all material received and processed in the Receipt Inspection area.
- Place the material that results non-compliant from the incoming process or process inspections in the HOLD Cage in accordance with the Receipt Inspection Procedure.
- Maintain updated inspection records for components received from the supplier;
- Generate DMRs to suppliers to document Non-Conformance findings in Wisper and send notifications to the supplier.
Responsibilities
- Carry out dimensional, visual and/or functional inspections and tests of the manufacturing processes and/or components received from internal and external suppliers, against the current revision of the specifications (Drawings, EBOM, Material Standard, Test Spec, Manufacturing Instructions) that apply.
- Ensure the correct evaluation and disposal of non-conforming material identified on production lines or in the receiving inspection area.
- Validate rejections of components, sub-assemblies and/or finished products.
- Assist line engineers in special inspections, upon request.
Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS)
- Attend all Safety, Health and Environment training that is assigned.
- Comply with 5S/MESH requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring safety standards as well as the policies established by Eaton.
- Non-compliance with safety procedures may lead to minor accidents and/or injuries depending on the function.
Requirements
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum education required (Meet one of the following)*:
or Professional Technical Bachelor in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical. or o University student in the Engineering branch with a minimum of 85 approved credits. or o Minimum of 250 (two hundred and fifty) hours of studies in the areas of Electronics/Electricity/Mechanics/Quality.
- Basic knowledge of English.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Technical Knowledge (Preferred).
- o Quality Technician Certification
- o Technical Drawing.
- 1 year in the Manufacturing area.
