As a Growth Marketing Manager, SEO, you will drive the strategy and performance of our SEO channel, generating qualified traffic and leads through SEO, SEO, and SEO. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our SEO roadmap, conducting technical and content audits, and continuously optimizing our presence on traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search and response platforms. Reporting to the Performance Marketing Directors for North America, you will play a key role in developing brand visibility, acquiring customers and achieving measurable business results through Lightspeed's non-paid marketing channels. Your contribution will be essential to the continued growth and success of the company.
Please note that this is a 13 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the natural referencing (SEO), AEO and GEO strategy in order to generate scalable and sustainable traffic and promote lead growth.
- Conduct regular technical SEO audits to identify and resolve crawling, indexing and site health issues.
- Track organic performance, keyword positioning and site health in order to transform data into concrete recommendations.
- Analyze the presence of our content and brand on AI-powered search engines and generative search experiences, and adapt content and structured data strategy accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Content and Web Development teams to implement large-scale on-page, technical and structured data (schema) improvements.
- Conduct keyword research and content gap analyzes to guide the editorial roadmap, editorial calendar and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to create reports and dashboards to track SEO KPIs and demonstrate performance and ROI of different channels.
- Anticipate updates to search engine algorithms and changing AI search behaviors, proactively adjusting strategy to preserve and increase visibility.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing team to ensure that organic content and presence in search results reflect a consistent brand narrative.
Requirements
What you should bring
- Proven experience in managing and developing an organic search channel, with a solid understanding of SEO, AEO and GEO principles.
- Mastery of the technical fundamentals of SEO, including site architecture, crawling, indexing, structured data and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with the Content and Web Development teams for the implementation of SEO recommendations.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Ability to manage and prioritize several projects while optimizing their impact.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform data into a clear story and action plan.
Desired but not necessary asset(s)
- Experience in content and structured data optimization, particularly for AI-based response engines and generative search platforms.
- Experience in B2B lead generation in a SaaS or technology environment.
- Proven track record of increasing organic traffic and improving pipeline or organic revenue.
- Knowledge of international markets or… Multisite referencing
- Experience with additional tools such as Looker and Salesforce
- As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, proficiency in English as a working language is required for this position.
