Field Service Engineer at Eaton in Changzhou, China.
Responsibilities
Responsible for on-site after-sales and technical support for data center power supply and distribution products, mainly PQ series high-power centralized UPS, covering UPS start-up debugging, on-site maintenance, technical docking and problem closed loop. At the same time, it supports modular UPS and micro-module data center (MDC) integrated solutions. As the on-site after-sales service technical leader and general coordinator of the data center power skid integration project, it assumes technical responsibility for complex projects and major events.
- Work location: Changzhou, Jiangsu (resident).
- According to the project arrangement, frequent business trips are required to various data centers or key customer sites to participate in installation, debugging, power supply, troubleshooting and major event support.
- During non-business trips, be responsible for technical preparation, plan review, problem review and cross-department technical docking.
- Provide installation guidance, startup and commissioning, maintenance, emergency repair and technical support for PQ high-power centralized UPS system. Typical application scenarios include data center 2N/N+1 architecture.
- Support modular UPS and micro-module data center (MDC) solutions, understand the integrated architecture of UPS, power distribution, monitoring and other subsystems, and complete on-site technical connection.
- Take the lead in handling major on-site incidents and complex and difficult problems, organize technical resources to complete fault location, root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive measures, and output formal analysis reports.
- As the technical interface window between the service department and quality, R&D, and ETO, provide feedback on on-site failure modes, product issues and customer needs, and promote continuous improvement and product competitiveness.
- As the on-site general coordinator of the data center power skid integration project, coordinate the technical interface and on-site collaboration of UPS, 400V low-voltage switch cabinet, 10kV medium-voltage switch cabinet and related systems.
- Improve the overall technical capabilities and project execution level of the service execution team through case summaries, training and technical support.
Requirements
- - Bachelor degree or above, major in power electronics, electrical engineering and automation, automation and other related majors;
- - 5 years or more of UPS on-site technical support or after-sales service experience, able to independently undertake debugging, maintenance and fault analysis of high-power UPS systems;
- - Familiar with data center power supply and distribution systems and 2N/N+1 power supply architecture, with experience in centralized UPS projects;
- - Hold a valid high-voltage electrician operating certificate (10kV or above) and meet on-site compliance requirements for data centers and medium-voltage systems;
- - Have good customer communication skills, cross-department coordination skills and technical document preparation skills;
- - Familiar with data center related standards and specifications, such as GB 50174, TIA-942, GB11022, GB3906, GB7251.12, etc., as well as corresponding IEC standards.
Bonus points
- Experience in project delivery or operation and maintenance of modular UPS or micro-module data center.
- Familiar with the basic principles, interfaces and typical application scenarios of 400V low-voltage switchgear and 10kV medium-voltage switchgear.
- Experience in engineering support, product application engineering or technical lead for complex projects.
