Role Summary
The Engineering Project Manager is part of the Program team. As an expert, he/she supports Program Managers in the general and detailed design of technical and operational solutions.
He/She defines the most appropriate operational and technical solution in order to meet customer requirements, guaranteeing perfect consistency with commercial contractual assumptions. In this capacity, the Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end definition of the solution, from operational and technical design to its validation by the client.
Responsible for the general and detailed design of the solution, he/she writes and consolidates all associated documentation (General Design – GD and Detailed Design – DD) and sets up the tests required during the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and System Acceptance Test (SAT) phases, in compliance with customer requirements, while anticipating and limiting technical risks.
With solid expertise in systems engineering, he/she offers, when relevant, solutions integrating third-party technical subsystems that create value.
Equipped with excellent analysis, synthesis and writing skills, the Engineering Project Manager shares his/her expertise with Bid Managers, Program Managers and Key Account Managers in order to enrich commercial proposals.
He/She also plays an active role during customer presentations, during which he/she defends the technical and operational solutions proposed (GD & DD) and obtains formal validation.
Finally, he/she supports the project throughout its life cycle, from its launch to its closure, ensuring the overall consistency and success of the deployed solution.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the industrial sector, ideally in an international environment in the role of Bid Manager/Systems Engineer or equivalent.
- Strong experience in systems engineering and program management.
- Good knowledge of IT, particularly in programming, networks and cybersecurity.
- Excellent technical mastery and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent writing skills in French and English.
- Availability for international travel min 50%.
